Job Title: Senior Manager of Commercial Telecom Billing
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Position Type: Contract (Long term)
Rate: Market/DOE (w2/1099 only)
Overview
The consultant filling this important role will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of the national commercial billing platform supporting our client's voice, video, internet, and Ethernet-based products.
Responsibilities
Management tier for the CSG Singleview Billing Platform meeting all service level commitments, application up time, and performance requirements. Platform is currently supporting approximately $1 billion annually
Review operational billing issues to determine and understand root cause, and resolve based on the billing implications and priorities to the business Utilize existing tools and procedures to document requirements for problem case and resolution
Investigate, recommend and implement new solutions and reporting for Billing Ops
Communicate weekly status to team members throughout the business on the health of billing operations
Areas of focus will consist of operations, development, release management, and compliance.
The responsibility extends for internal, outsourced, and geographically diverse teams used to accomplish goals and objectives.
Overseeing the support in both front and back office operations.
Project budgeting, reviewing and approving vendor invoices, employee timesheets, and perform annual reviews.
SLA, KPI, and Platform Metrics
Recommend and implement changes that Improve quality results by evaluating and upgrading processes, procedures, and common communications.
Manage third party application platforms and vendors
Participate in customer and government audits in addition to SOX, PII, and PCI audits, compliance, and quarterly reviews
Support transition and long term adoption of Agile development methodology
Maintain system stability, production schedules and processing, application HW / SW infrastructure
Required Skills/Experience
College degree in business or technical discipline; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 10 years experience in IT, Communications or Technical Field.
Solid and recent experience in a management role responsible for all aspects of a commercial telecom billing platform
Ability to review operational billing issues to determine and understand root cause and devise a solution based on the billing implications and priorities to the business
Highly developed leadership, data analysis skills; problem solving, decision-making, technically minded, strong observational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and accompanying organizational and follow-up skills
Advanced SQL query ability, ad-hoc reporting, Oracle, SQL Server, UNIX/Linux, Perl, Toad, or related apps a plus.
Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary (Efforts are made to keep this to a minimum and to offer remote connectivity to reduce impact)
