Responsibilities:
- Creates and drives the execution of the safety strategy for the Mississippi campus to achieve the vision.
- Provides guidance and EHS leadership to peers, direct reports and the Mississippi employees.
- Engages and develops team of hourly and management EHS professionals.
- Identifies common and more complex safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
- Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
- Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
- Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Demonstrated success in leading, developing engaging an inclusive team
- Degree or equivalent job-related experience (preferably in EHS or related field)
- Proven ability to set and implement a strategic vision
- Professional certification in a related field is desired
- Experience with U.S. environmental regulations
