Senior Manager, Operations - RXO

As a Senior Manager, Operations at RXO, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our customer’s Part Centers (PC). Your role involves implementing strategies, managing resources and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Lead efforts to enhance existing processes, encouraging your team to challenge assumptions and propose innovative solutions
• Empower your team to make independent decisions, providing guidance and fostering a self-sufficient, agile approach
• Maintain clear communication across all levels, from entry-level workers to senior leadership, ensuring alignment between customer and organizational goals
• Demonstrate deep knowledge in relevant practices and technologies, ensuring proficiency in both customer-specific and internal systems
• Balance operational execution with data-driven decision-making, using analytical skills to optimize processes
• Guide your team through changes, such as process improvements and system upgrades, while fostering an environment open to new ideas
• Oversee complex projects, ensuring proper planning, resource allocation, risk assessment and execution using project management methodologies
• Build strong relationships with customers, addressing concerns promptly and effectively, and managing expectations
• Evaluate and adjust staffing needs based on business demands, ensuring operational continuity during absences
• Navigate union relations and demonstrate expertise in third-party logistics practices, ensuring smooth operations within the customer’s framework

What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 5 years of experience in supply chain and logistics management
• Working knowledge of and experience in the functional areas of transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory planning and management, network analysis and materials management
• Experience with financial management and business integration; HR technical skills

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain and Logistics or related field, (Master’s preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Availability to work extended hours, including evenings, nights and weekends, available for travel to customer and multiple operating locations
