**Position Summary**
The Sr. Manager, OpEx and Process Optimization is a key team member of the Global Patient Operations Capabilities (GPOC) team that requires a high degree of independence, functional knowledge, leadership, and planning capability. The primary responsibility is to lead transformative change and strategic initiatives across Global Patient Operations functions that influence the supply chain of CAR-T patient material, including Apheresis Operations and Global Scheduling. This role will have visibility and impact across all processes within GPO and interface closely with their functional leaders.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead medium and long-term initiatives that drive transformative change in our commercial and clinical operations processes
+ Executing multiple projects of moderate complexity by leading cross-functional teams individually or with the help of a program manager
+ Identification, creation, refinement, and post-implementation audit of business cases impacted by process improvement initiatives
+ Ability to integrate technical, business, and customer information to generate novel and differentiated solutions and concepts
+ Critically evaluate Global Patient Operations processes and operational data such as, but not limited to, turn-around-times, defects, process flow charts, and end-to-end value stream analysis, to determine effectiveness of tools, processes, and systems
+ Have strong operations, functional, and systems knowledge to design solutions that fulfill business requirements with related functional teams

+ Strategic capabilities - collaborate with senior leaders, functional managers, and staff to develop a strategic roadmap for business process improvements, facilitate the project activation process through review and alignment with KPIs and prioritization of functional resources
+ Analytical and problems solving skills - Adept at using problem solving and advanced analytical techniques, tools, and methods to identify, characterize, and assess emerging issues and areas for opportunity
+ Mentor and coach to Global Patient Operations resources on leadership, process improvement methodologies, standards, and tools
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 5+ years of work experience in an engineering, supply chain, process improvement, lean, or operations excellence type role
+ Experience working in a highly regulated industry (e.g. pharma, medical device, aviation)
+ Bachelor's degree in life sciences, engineering, supply chain or operations
+ Ability to travel up to 20%
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Strong working knowledge of process improvement tools and methodologies, Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred but not required
+ Strong working knowledge of project management tools and methods, CAPM or PMP certifications preferred but not required
+ Experience utilizing a combination of analytical, empirical, computational, and statistical methods to gain deep understanding of internal processes
+ Demonstrated learning agility on new subject matter
+ Experience in managing ambiguity and ability to act as a change protagonist
+ Strong working knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g. cGMP, GTx, ATMPs)
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $114,000 - $144,000
plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the geographic location where work is performed.
