The role:
The Sr. Manager, Processing role is responsible for leading, influencing, managing and supporting the day-to-day plant processing operations and personnel in a 3-shift, 5 days per week (weekends as needed) manufacturing environment. This role is also responsible for the management of production-related continuous improvement projects and personnel.

The role:
The Sr. Manager, Processing role is responsible for leading, influencing, managing and supporting the day-to-day plant processing operations and personnel in a 3-shift, 5 days per week (weekends as needed) manufacturing environment. This role is also responsible for the management of production-related continuous improvement projects and personnel.
What you will do:
- Oversee all day-to-day production-related work by managing a team of team leaders, compounders, weighers and product dispatch specialists, ensuring adherence to production schedules, safely and efficiently, as well as compliance to all FDA, GMP & environmental regulations.
- Develop & execute strategies, along with a Processing Continuous Improvement Engineer, to improve safety, efficiency, processing & reliability relating to processing operations for the purposes of continuous improvement and alignment to organizational strategic targets and priorities, including new processes, tools and assets.
- Liaison with Plant Manager and other top management to assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity.
- Lead and/or undertake administrative tasks such as budget creation & monitoring, management of change process, SOP creation and revision, etc.
- Bachelors degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering required.
- Minimum of 5 years in processing management role with proven excellent leadership abilities.
- Minimum of 3 years solid experience in processing operations within consumer products, pharmaceutical or food industries
- Minimum of 5 years experience of effective project management experience.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering concepts & unit operations, e.g. in-line mixing, emulsification, etc.
- Knowledge of SAP knowledge a plus.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred.
- Inspiring leader who can create a positive work environment and motivate team to a higher level of performance; effective in team building and leading effectively through change.
- Proven record of effective problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
- Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills; practices proactive communication w/stakeholders to leverage opportunities to gain insights/perspectives from others: ability to effectively work with personnel at all levels.
- Outstanding organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to keep track of and report on departmental activity
