Reports to: Chief Program Officer
Work Environment: This position is in an office located in Coconut Creek, but it will require some travel to schools and program sites in Broward and south Palm Beach county.
Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Program Operations is responsible for leading the team that supports all JA programs in areas including program event management, staff tools and resources, student technology, logistics and data management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the team which includes a Logistics Coordinator and Data Specialist.
- Provide oversight and guidance to the members of the team in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and ensure they fulfill their duties as assigned.

- Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework that supports employee contribution and includes goal setting, planning, feedback, accountability and performance development planning.
- Work closely with all Program Directors to ensure there are clear expectations and communication across all programs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and manage JA South Florida alumni program.
- Lead Logistics Coordinator and Program Managers to plan and execute educational program days and events (parent nights, retreats, graduations, etc.).
- Oversee multi-program communication plans for parents, teachers, and school leaders (newsletters, text campaigns, etc.).
- Research, implement and train coworkers on tools and strategies that serve multiple programs (ie. Canvas for digital curriculum management; internship management platform, etc.).
- Maintain student technology and equipment inventory (laptops, VR goggles, etc.)
- Oversee program supply storage areas to ensure they are efficient and organized.
- Research and purchase program supplies.
- Work with Program Managers and Directors as they develop and manage budgets related to Program Operation expenses,
- Ensuring accurate financial management for all expenditures.
- Guide Logistics Coordinator in securing community partnerships and contract negotiations.
- Work with Chief Program Officer to develop and implement programs' surveys, evaluations, and assessment tools.
- Work with Chief Program Officer in the recruitment and stewardship of schools.
- Maintain a strong understanding of new and existing JA South Florida programs and resources from JA USA.
- Work with Program Managers and Chief Program Officer to launch new programs or initiative.
- Lead special projects and programs as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and programs through effective project management practices.
- Experience supervising a team.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Experience managing/supervising a youth program a plus.
- Experience working with schools and/or community organizations a plus.
- Reliable transportation is needed as local travel will be required to speak to donors, attend conferences, and manage program implementation (mileage will be reimbursed).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and occasionally required to reach, bend, lift, or climb.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
