Senior Manager - QHSE - GEA US Farm Technologies at GEA Process Engineering

As the Senior Manager QHSE, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance strategy across five sites. This role requires a proactive leader who will align strategies with GEA Group standards, foster relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners, and ensure a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.

Responsibilities / Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

HSE Compliance Strategy:

• Develop and implement HSE compliance strategies for five sites in alignment with GEA Group standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and allocate resources effectively for risk reduction.

Consultancy & Relationship Management:

• Provide consultancy to senior managers and local HSE personnel.
• Foster relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners to promote safety values.

Audit Management:

• Ensure prompt resolution of audit findings; appoint external advisors and liaise with regulatory agencies.
• Organize and support audits, inspections, and investigations.

Policy Implementation:

• Implement GEA Group HSE policies and support policy development and implementation.
• Establish an Integrated Management System for HSE and Quality.

Training & Development:

• Facilitate plant-specific HSE training and development; deliver training as needed.
• Promote collaboration and information sharing among HSE staff.

Sustainability Initiatives:

• Oversee sustainability and emissions initiatives in line with corporate goals.
• Stay updated on HSE developments, regulations, and best practices.

Quality Management:

• Support the development and implementation of a quality management system.
• Serve as a local quality expert and assist with purchasing activities and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and manage warranty programs.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Education Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in health, Safety, and Environment; master’s preferred.

Experience:

• 4-6 years of experience in quality, health, safety, and environment fields.
• 4-6 years of people management experience, including leading a safety team of 5+.

Professional Knowledge and Experience:

• Versatile experience in complex matrix and centralized organizations.
• Proven expertise in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment.
• Proficiency in various Quality Management System disciplines.
• Preferred Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Change management leadership experience.

Other Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical skills and accuracy in statistics and report writing.
• In-depth understanding of international standards and procedures.
• Experience in accident and incident investigation.
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in change management.
• Adaptable to working with diverse international teams.
• Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, capable of handling pressure, and careful with sensitive technical data.
• Essential expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of other MS Office applications is a plus.
