The Role & Department
We are seeking an innovation-focused Senior Software Engineer, specializing in Intelligent Automation, AI & Software Development to join our IT Commercialization & Enabling Functions (C&EF) team who is passionate about designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions. The Software Engineer will work with a team of developers and architects to craft innovative automation software solutions that will improve efficiency and productivity, supporting C&EF business requirements. The Senior Software Engineer will also play a key role in offering technical guidance for automation and software development within Product-oriented-delivery (POD) teams. They will collaborate with a team of architects and developers to ensure timely execution of PODs. This role is entirely hands-on.
The successful candidate will utilize tools like Microsoft Power Platform, Bizagi Automation Platform, RPA tools e.g. UiPath/Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, ChatGPT, LLM, AI, APIs, Integrations software & other software development tools to build and deploy scalable, resilient software applications for Commercialization & Enabling Functions (C&EF) organization. Responsible for fostering a cohesive digital IT C&EF ecosystem, the Senior Software Engineer, Intelligent Automation, will intricately develop innovative systems and automated processes with the aim to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to the overall success of the C&EF Organization.
This role is a hybrid role located in Plainsboro, NJ, (US).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement automation solutions for C&EF enterprise platforms & products such as SFDC, Health Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Veeva CRM & Vault products, Omnichannel products, AWS, SAP S4/Hana, Workday, Concur, Azure & other enterprise and commercial applications
- Create, build, and deploy software solutions leveraging automation platforms like Microsoft Power Platform, Bizagi Automation Platform, RPA tools, as well as integration solutions, APIs, Microservices, and other relevant technologies
- Work with various stakeholders to understand requirements and build quick prototypes to show value of concepts
- Utilize ready-to-use UI library components from tools such as Figma for creating user interfaces and wireframes to create Canvas Apps using Figma designs to fast-track agile rapid prototyping of automation design projects
- Build simple reports and dashboards using Tableau and other reporting visualization tools
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain automations throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring reliability, availability, security, scalability and compliance
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Technical Product Owners, Technical Delivery leads, developers, data engineers, to design and deliver high-quality intelligent automations across C&EF organization
- Apply innovative solutions to optimize legacy systems, elevate automation from a tactical to a strategic IT capability, and accelerate the digital agenda of the C&EF organization
- Stay current on the latest automation technologies and explore new ways to improve the solutions
- Take a crucial role in harnessing automation to empower our customers, contribute to enhancing and innovating products, and optimizing processes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, testing, and deployment using on-premises and cloud-based platforms and tools
- At least 5 years of experience with automation platforms and tools such as Azure Automation, Power Platform, Bizagi Automation Platform, Selenium or similar, RPA tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere, automation administration and governance
- At least 3 years of experience in using BPM tools, integration, APIs, Microservices
- At least 5 years of experience in writing simple and complex SQL queries
- At least 3 years of experience in using BPM tools, integration, APIs, Microservices
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C# etc.
- Experience in applying artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data techniques to automate complex business processes and optimize performance.
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain modular, scalable, and reusable automation solutions using best practices and standards.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in working with SaaS/PaaS systems and integrating them with cloud-based automations.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a must have.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification such as Certified Solution Test Automation Specialist, Certified Bizagi Developer/Professional Associate/Advanced, Power Platform Fundamentals/Developer Associate or similar is preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google
- Implementation experience in Tableau or other reporting visualization software is highly preferred
- Implementation experience of business rules engine is a plus.
- Knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Azure AI, Sagemaker, DataRobot etc. are nice to have.
- Experience in Life Sciences, Biotech or Pharma industry is a nice to have.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$114,375.00---$190,625.00
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
