About the Team
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager of Technical Design who has deep technical skills across apparel divisions and product categories. You will be responsible for overseeing a team across Womens, Mens, Kids divisions to ensure products are accurately developed and executed from style concept to approvals for bulk.
This position is site-based at our headquarters in San Francisco, CA, and requires regular on-site presence (5-9 days/month) for optimal collaboration and engagement with our team.

- Establish a strong team culture by leading, supporting and developing the team.
- Utilize innovative data platform technology and leverage client feedback to assess fit/size scores with size scale, grade rule and fit intent standards.
- Create department goals that support improvements of client feedback and fit/size scores.
- Innovate new ways of working through process enhancements and technology, such as 2D/3D softwares, to streamline product development cycle, including block pattern creation, pattern balance/grade rules/proportion evaluation.
- Manage product categories to maintain knowledge of the product development process and work closely with Buying partners to execute design aesthetics and fit intent.
- Ensure workload is balanced within the team to manage workflow and business needs.
- Develop, implement and maintain department standards including grade rules, POM/HTM, constructions and processes.
- Build close relationships with cross-functional team members and external vendors; proactively engage business partners when issues arise with feedback when appropriate and recommendations for viable options/solutions.

- You are an expert in pattern making and have expertise in grading knowledge with understanding of the fit and technical construction in product categories for all divisions; women, plus, petite, mens, kids.

- You are passionate about using data science and client feedback to help improve overall client experience and fit/size scores.
- You have exceptional experience traveling to the factories to educate and problem solve, and have expertise in construction and manufacturing methods/processes.
- You can problem solve and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- You are fluent in Google Workspace, Looker, and an accomplished user in Optitex 2D pattern and CLO 3D softwares.
- You have a B.A./B.S. from a 4-year university with a major in a relevant field (i.e. Fashion Design, Pattern Making) with 10+ years of technical design experience in the apparel industry, including 3-5 years managing a team.

Compensation and Benefits
This role will receive a competitive salary, benefits, and equity. The salary for US-based employees will be aligned with the range below, which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. This position is eligible for new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee and company performance. Salary Range
$162,400 - $191,000 USD
