As a Senior Manager, of Deals Accounting, you will have a front-row seat to strategic decisions made at the enterprise level, our financial results, and end-to-end process evaluation. Your role will be to assist in driving acquisition and sale transaction results, tell bank's story, and play a leadership role in managing our transaction accounting processes. We are looking for a people-oriented leader to manage the acquisition and sale accounting process, perform technical accounting research, engage in relevant automation opportunities, and ensure compliance with our Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) policies and procedures. Responsibilities will include performing transaction diligence, providing transaction technical accounting guidance to Corporate Development and related finance teams, and may include oversight for our Basel Capital and Liquidity Coverage Ratio disclosures. This person will have direct people management responsibilities, act as a liaison with upstream business partners, and play an advisory role when supporting new initiatives for technical accounting and other financial considerations.

Responsibilities
- Assist bank's transaction team with acquisition and sale diligence, including providing technical accounting and valuation guidance and managing end-to-end deals process from an accounting perspective.
- Oversee purchase and sale technical accounting decisions, including identification, delegation, and judgmental assessments and conclusions of key work streams in diligence and purchase accounting.
- Be the main point of contact and subject matter expert for Corporate Development, Accounting and Finance teams, investor relations, legal counsel, internal audit, and external auditors. Ensure entries recorded in the general ledger align with U.S. GAAP.
- Report on acquisition and sale activity to Corporate Development and Finance leadership.
- Coordinate efforts with internal departments and external groups to facilitate transaction accounting, including gathering any financial and non-financial information related to SEC and regulatory disclosures.
- Review and maintain supporting documentation to substantiate information included in each SEC filing and regulatory disclosure.
- Provide technical support on accounting disclosure issues to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement accounting and disclosure changes for any relevant new accounting standards and regulatory rule/regulation changes.
- Assist in external audit coordination and internal audit reviews.
- Support ongoing SOX and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Assist in recruiting, training, developing, and evaluating staff with transparency and empathy.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or military experience
- At least 7 years of experience in accounting, audit or finance, or a combination
- At least 3 years' experience in of people management
- At least 2 years of experience with merger and acquisition technical accounting with diligence and purchase accounting documentation experience in multiple transactions and experience reviewing valuation deal models
