Job Description
The Senior Marketing Communications Specialist collaborates on more complex communication plan design and executes and measures integrated, strategically-focused marketing plans for specific market segments in an effort to support key corporate sales and marketing goals. Works closely with the marketing communications team to solve market problems and drive enterprise results.
What You’ll Do
+ Collaborates with marketing communications team to define broader and/or more complex communication tactical plans.
+ Plans and implements complex marketing campaigns to approved budgets, goals and timelines and ensures plans are executed on-strategy.
+ Drives sales results through design and implementation of marketing activities such as: incentives, direct mail, advertising, collateral, promotions, events, presentations, online marketing and other appropriate channels.
+ Provides reports, analyses, and regular status updates on marketing campaign development.
+ Evaluate campaign progress, identify potential risks or delays, develop contingency plans and respond quickly to changes in risk as the project progresses.
+ Works closely with various areas of the organization including sales, web office, creative studio, underwriting, legal, compliance, healthcare, human resources and other internal departments in the production of marketing materials and campaigns.
+ Manages effective relationships and negotiates contracts with external marketing and logistics vendors/agencies as needed.
+ Utilizing significant expertise with the competitive marketplace, equips the sales team to effectively sell against the competition.
+ Manages communication between internal stakeholders and creative resources in project execution.
+ Manages associated program budget(s) including annual forecasting, invoice control and reconciliation, tracking of campaign funds and scheduled reporting.
+ Mentors/coaches less experienced marketing communications team members.
What You Bring
+ Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
+ 5+ years of experience in related field.
+ In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

+ Prior experience managing direct response marketing campaigns

Salary Range
At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
