This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for an A/E/C Industry Assistant Vice President, Senior Marketing Manager in any US location where we have an office in support or our national Earth & Environment business. The ideal applicant will have an understanding of the market in CA, WA, CO and other western states. This AVP will have extensive experience leading a team of proposal managers, marketing coordinators and strategic pursuits. This position is a leader in WSP's award-winning Strategic Growth Team - a multi-faceted and industry-best marketing, sales and communications organization.
This position drives successfulclient engagement, proposal, pursuit and other marketing activities for state/local government, energy, water, industrial, commercial, mining, oil & gas and federal clients. This AVP oversees a marketing team and helps to drive the organization to achieve sales and funding objectives while deploying resources to successfully pursue specific projects and strategic opportunities.
Your Impact
- Supports client teams in positioning for major pursuits, including gathering and disseminating market/pursuit intelligence; in building pipeline; and in maintaining a strong company brand image within the industry.
- Leads the most complex proposals with general guidance.
- Collaborates with technical staff and writes/reviews/edits original content for clarity, compliance and key messages.
- Works with graphic design staff to plan and produce materials ensuring all proposal materials are effectively communicating the strategic vision identified for a given pursuit.
- Works with individual pursuit teams to develop pursuit strategies, including providing business intelligence on clients, competitors and WSP
- Organizes and facilitates pursuit strategy meetings
- Facilitates Go/No-Go discussions and makes recommendations to leadership
- Lead and support interview coaching and presentation development for shortlist interviews
- Leads debriefing activities post procurement
- Identifies and drives sector/area visibility plans and external communications opportunities in alignment with strategic priorities
- Conducts training and mentoring of marketing team personnel, including annual performance evaluations and improvement measures
- Assists in the ongoing development and refinement of QA procedures, and serves as quality control review of materials developed by Department
- Oversees quality of marketing deliverables and compliance with WSP procedures
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years’ experience in the AEC industry
- Mentoring experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possesses a strategic mindset and sound judgment
- Ability to build trust and influence others
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications related software programs
- Must have leadership, communication, liaison, analytical, forecasting, marketing, personnel management, and administrative skills

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $91,100 - $155,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $91,100-150,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
