Morrison Hershfield now Stantec’s Integrated Engineering Design (IED) group provides integrated engineering solutions to institutional, industrial, residential and commercial clients with a focus on transit, telecom, waste management, higher education and food/beverage facilities that require reliable and cost effective infrastructure for both new and retrofit solutions. The combined skills of our engineers, technicians and support personnel with their diverse backgrounds in design and construction provide clients with a team recognized as leaders in the field.
Your Key Responsibilities
+ Design - Performs mechanical engineering work (design, cad and Revit) related to Mission
+ Critical Facilities, specifically in the areas of Mechanical Systems, i.e. HVAC, plumbing and drainage & controls
+ Conducts engineering/architecture/planning options comparisons by undertaking multi-factor assessments to select preferred cost-effective alternatives
+ Prepares contract drawings and specifications in conjunction with project team for delivery to client
+ Documents study progress/results through the preparation of memos, minutes and reports as a record of events
+ Provides direction to project team members and support staff through verbal and written instructions and assign work to appropriate individuals
+ Liaises with clients to exchange information re: project progress
+ Use Revit to create and design building mechanical drawings
+ Develop designs which meet client requirements and adhere to a high standard of form, fit, function, appearance and quality
+ Identify discrepancies in drawings and information and resolve through appropriate methods and channels
+ Review drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy. Perform drawing changes, additions and/or revisions as required
+ Prepares site visit reports by interpreting findings to give clear recommendations and direction to clients
+ Reviews shop drawings and design details by analyzing for continuity and viability
+ Attend meetings and coordinate work with other disciplines and team members, the design team, construction team and the owners team
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
+ Advanced knowledge of Revit MEP
+ Interest in buildings, commissioning, energy management, sustainability and construction
+ Desire to divide time between on-site activities and office administrative duties
+ Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
+ Strong demonstrated written and oral communication skills in English
+ Intimate knowledge of all building codes related to electrical engineering
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
+ Ability to handle multiple projects with the ability to effectively prioritize
+ Strong relationship and interpersonal skills required
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a strong customer service commitment
Education and Experience
+ Diploma in Mechanical Technology or equivalent education
+ Minimum 6 years' experience in Revit operation and design working on building projects with a focus on mission critical projects
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Salary Range(s):
* $37 Per Hour - $53 Per Hour Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI and MD
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
