Senior Mechanical Engineer at Manpower Engineering

Our client, a heavy industrial equipment design and manufacturing company, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Product Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in NPD CAD design, expertise with Solidworks CAD software, design of sheet metal parts, some sustaining engineering work, 3D modeling, prototype development and testing. This is a contract status role with a high probability of conversion to a direct hire role. The job site is Appleton, WI.

Pay: $45-$55/hr plus OT, benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for selecting and designing for various manufacturing processes including Sheet Metal, Injection Molding, Machining, and Die Castings.
• Integrate DFMA best practices into new designs
• Provide mechanical support for industrial welding products including power sources, wire feeders, and related accessories.

• Provide mechanical engineering for industrial welding products including power sources, wire feeders, and related accessories.

•  Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 5+ years' experience preferred.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling, SolidWorks and PDM preferred.
• Experience designing and testing to 3rd party (UL/CSA/CE) standards.
• Experience in design methods to address equipment exposure to severe environmental conditions (temperature, moisture, and dust).
