Senior Mechanical Engineer | Multi-family Residential buildings
Client:
Founded in 1987, our client is an award-winning NYC firm that evaluates building systems and designs, administers programs for repair, upgrade, restoration, and new construction for residential, commercial, retail, and institutional properties. The broad range of expertise includes exterior repair and roof replacement; facade inspection safety; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; structural engineering; retail and commercial buildouts; building condition surveys; energy audits, and historic restoration.
Description:
Immediate need for a Senior-level Mechanical Engineer with proven experience in Design and Supervision of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for residential buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to prepare and supervise the preparation of contract drawings for the design of HVAC and other related mechanical systems such as plumbing and fire protection equipment
- Prepare specifications for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems
- Review plans and interact with clients
- Administer MEP upgrade projects
- Prepare renderings and support graphics for project presentations
- Develop overall design and technical solutions through all phases of the project
- Determine HVAC loads and calculations including specs, sizing equipment, ductwork, and piping
- Computer and CAD proficient
- 10 + years of experience in residential projects, particularly multi-family buildings
- NYS PE License required
- Knowledge of NYC codes
- Thorough understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC and plumbing) as it relates to residential projects
- Must have previous supervisory experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to produce and manage a project from conceptual design through construction document phase and construction administration including supervision of design personnel
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited school of engineering
NYS PE License required
