As a Senior Mechanical Engineer PE / Project Manager, you will manage full-cycle projects for commercial, multifamily, educational, healthcare, and institutional buildings. Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Design & Documentation: Develop detailed AutoCAD/Revit files and construction documents for various building types, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Project Management: Oversee projects from conception to completion, managing resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
- Client Collaboration: Build strong relationships with new and existing clients, delivering project updates and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and coach junior staff while leading your team in mechanical design and project management.
- Business Development: Actively identify and develop new business opportunities within the HVAC and plumbing design space.
- Quality Control: Review mechanical design submittals, address field issues, and ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with regulatory standards and maintain the highest safety standards.
Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
- 6+ years of experience in HVAC and/or plumbing design and project management.
- Expertise in AutoCAD and Revit is essential; experience with HVAC modeling programs like TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, or AIRMaster is a plus.
- Experience working on commercial, multifamily, educational, healthcare, and institutional buildings is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, budget, and timelines are met.

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in HVAC or Plumbing Design and Project Management. A Master’s degree is a plus. Licensure: Current PE License (Professional Engineer). Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required. Familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster is highly desirable. Sector Experience: Experience designing HVAC/plumbing systems for commercial, multifamily, educational, healthcare, and institutional buildings. Preferred Qualifications: Project Management: Proven experience managing projects of varying sizes and complexity. Advanced Technical Skills: Expertise in HVAC modeling programs like TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and AIRMaster. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with subcontractors, project owners, and team members.
