We are seeking an experienced (3 years billing and coding, preferred) detail-oriented Medical Biller/Coder to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing procedures, coding systems, and terminology, and will have a certificate or formal education in billing/coding.
Work with amazing people within our Operations Team in our Farmington Hills clinic!
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify the accuracy of billing data and revise any errors.
- Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe.
- Utilize medical coding to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients.
- Investigate and appeal denied claims.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist in the training and development of Billing/Coding team
Skills our Medical Biller will have:
- Medical billing and coding education with, preferably, 2-3 years of experience as a Medical Biller and Coder.
- Leadership experience preferred
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, such as sending emails, typing, and using spreadsheets.
- Interact with clients and patients.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Work independently.
- Multitasking.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
