The National Accounts team is responsible for covering our US intermediary firms & home office relationships. The primary responsibilities of a Senior National Account Manager are: 1) Growing & maintaining shelf space, 2) Developing a thorough understanding of client needs and opportunities to enhance partnership 3) Building relationships with key centers of influence and 4) Managing the P&L and associated administration functions that come with investment distribution. The preferred location of the role is NY or Boston with the ability to travel as needed for client engagement.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop meaningful professional relationships with key home office contacts and centers of influence including executive leadership teams, sales management, product/program managers and others to increase MSIM / EV visibility and brand awareness.
- Build in-depth understanding of the full suite of MSIM / EV investment capabilities and align firm resources at covered firms to maximize business opportunity.
- Coordinate new launches and firm initiatives at covered firms to ensure that the full capabilities of MSIM / EV are being delivered across key business units to include sales, investment teams, middle-office and back-office functions.
- Manage contract negotiations, selling agreements and financial terms between MSIM / EV and covered firms.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the investment management industry in similar and/or related roles.
- Self-motivated individual that can work independently or as part of larger team.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Travel as required by client and/or firm business needs.
- Ability to accommodate a hybrid office schedule when not traveling for business.
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA, CFA, CIMA, CFA a plus)
- FINRA Series 7, 65/66, 63 licenses required.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $250,000 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
