Job Description
The Senior .NET Developer's responsibilities include participating in the entire software development life cycle, debugging applications and configuring existing systems. This will be a hands-on technical development position supporting sustainment (O&M) and modernization of infrastructure services as well as implementation of process improvements for .NET SDLC, especially around test automation and implementation of CI/CD pipelines. The Sr. Developer will be expected to lead by example in best practices for secure and maintainable development, documentation, and testing, as well as providing input and review of design and test artifacts on a team of 5-10 other developer. Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must have an active Public Trust clearance or similar active Federal Government clearance.
- This position is on-site and candidate will be required to be onsite 5 days a week. (Transportation benefits are available!)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Related Field
- At minimum 10 years' related work experience
- Self-starter, able to work well in a team environment.
Technical Skills:
- Mid to advanced skill and expertise in .net software development languages.
- Experience working with enterprise applications.
- Experience developing and managing APIs.
- Experience writing design documents.
- Experience writing and deploying unit tests.
- Works well in a challenging environment
- Strong time and resource management skills.
- Works well within AGILE project management methodology
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS markup and dynamic markup (jsp, asp, php)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with Azure Dev Ops
Responsibilities:
The Developer performs software development maintenance tasks assigned under the guidance of the Scrum Master and Team Lead. These tasks may include but are not limited to:
Develop applications using .net framework and other development systems to create or modify new application programing interfaces (APIs) or back-end functionality.
Assess existing source code and adapt to meet current requirements
Support production environment with resolving application errors.
Assist on team activities to analyze and improve system performance.
Use version control system to manage software code.
Update design documentation, if needed, as part of correcting production issues. Adhere to the agile methodologies Software Development Life Cycle.
Identify and provide recommendations for system process improvements.
Prepares periodic and ad hoc status reports for each assignment for department manager and project manager.
