About the Job
The Senior Operations Analyst is an experienced operational analyst in support of the National Guard Bureau’s J-34 Law Enforcement, Mission Assurance, Logistics, and Engineering Division.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and reviews reports to include threat analysis of multiple branches within the United States DOD, DHS and FBI Joint Task Force.
- Responsible for advising the National Guard Bureau-J34 on operational issues related to the acquisition, planning, training, deployment and utilization of Non-Lethal Capabilities (NLC) and Non-Lethal Weapons (NLW) in all aspects of National Guard law enforcement operations.
- Responsible for the management of the non-lethal capabilities program to include resource programming, budgeting and the execution.
- Coordinates and facilitates the employment of non-lethal weapons for law enforcement with Army and Air National Guard as well as Federal, State, local authorities.
- Responsible for integrating and coordinating the NGBs efforts concerning non-lethal capabilities with sister services, other DoD entities, and governmental agencies via the Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate (JNLWD).
- Develops maintenance and sustainment plans for the Non-Lethal Capability Sets (NLCS) to all 54 States and Territories.
- Coordinates the issue of NLCS to states in support of law enforcement operations for National Special Security Events (NSSE) missions and tracks their mobilization and utilization during national level full scale exercises (FTX's) in support of the National Strategy.
- Coordinates prioritization of National Guard Non-Lethal Weapon Program.
- Coordinates, synchronizes, and executes NLW program policy
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a Department of Defense Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- 10 years’ experience of Operational and Planning Analysis.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Excellent proof-reading reading/attention to detail skills.
- Data base entry abilities.
- Ability to interpret regulatory guidance.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient with a broad range of Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge of office machines to print, scan and fax documents.
