We have an opportunity for aSenior Operations Leadthat will coordinate, direct, and support all activities on 2nd shift to ensure achievement of safety, quality, and production goals.
Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and resolve issues; engaging team members leading, coaching, and promoting the company values; will receive directives from 1st shift production supervisors regarding daily production targets or goals.
- Conduct training, ensuring process controls are maintained, coordinating workflow of area personnel, and support with job rotation and filling in where necessary.
- Review production jobs in the ERP system for accuracy and completion and maintain inventory accuracy for assigned areas.
- Ensure a safe work environment and that team members are working in a safe manner.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Maintain time and production records and complete daily shift action report/log in a timely manner.
- Flexibility in for required meetings, training, and other scheduled events.
- Able to work overtime or weekends, as necessary.
- React positively to change and perform other tasks as requested.
Qualifications
- High school diploma: 5 years manufacturing operations experience and/or 2+ years' experience as a team lead or supervisor in a manufacturing environment and/or equivalent education or experience in job-related activities.
- Ability to operate a forklift and speak, read, and write in English.
- Team player with technical acumen, a positive attitude, and good interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in an ERP production environment required.
- Understanding of MRP, production scheduling, production workflows and capacity analysis is desired.
- Intermediate proficiency with MS office and business math.
- Participate in video calls/team meetings via web camera.
- Reliable attendance is a must.
