Description
Our client is in need of a candidate with strong Oracle Retail Client and WebLogic experience. This is an 80% technical - 20-% functional position. The work will involve assisting with an upgrade and driving the technical direction of the project. This is a full time direct hire position.
Responsibilities
- Installation and configuration of the Oracle applications/modules in 12+ environments
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for upgrades, including porting customizations to new versions
- Develop configuration setup to help in installing software
- Apply patches/hot fixes to Oracle applications
- Maintain code and patch repository
- Install and configure WebLogic application servers and provision and maintain system and application logs
- Oracle WebLogic administration of 12+ servers/environments
- Work with Oracle RIB Administrator and their support activities
- Authorize team members to perform authentication provisioning (user maintenance - add/change/delete roles in all Oracle Retail Applications)
- Work with the team of administrators to effectively resolve production issues
- Establish and enforce best practices for the team to follow
- Collaborate closely on the resolution of Oracle SRs
- Define and publish process to transition to DR environment and reinstates production environment
- Provides weekly status to Oracle Support Mgr
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience
- 9+ years in installation and configuration of Oracle Retail Merchandising System (ORMS) and its various components/modules (RDF, SIM, ReIM)
- 7+ years of Oracle Integration Bus (RIB) and its integration technology (Advance Queuing, AQ)
- 7+ years of user maintenance (add, change, delete) roles in all Oracle Retail Applications & working with OID
- 5+ years of experience with AIX and WebLogic platforms with scripting languages
- Experience using and maintaining a source code repository
- Experience with IBM MB/MQ middleware and DataStage is a plus
- Experience leading teams, delegating duties
- In depth understanding and knowledge of the Oracle Retail Application suite of products
- Extensive knowledge of the internal workings and architecture of the Oracle Retail Integration Bus (RIB)
- Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, XML messaging
- Proficient in process design as it applies to the specific configuration of Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server (RPAS) or applicable Oracle Retail technology
- Possesses database, core applications and web technology knowledge - Must understand the database environment thoroughly. Not hands on, but will provide guidance to the team
- Possesses specific experience in implementing Oracle solutions and in systems integrations
- Understands applied business practices in one of the following: merchandising, planning, pricing, replenishment, store operations, warehousing or forecasting
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to communicate both up and down the chain of command
- Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform duties
