Job Summary :
The Senior Paralegal will be responsible for providing legal support to attorneys in the firm's fathers' rights practice. The Senior Paralegal will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the paralegal team, as well as handling complex legal tasks and cases independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the paralegal team, including assigning tasks and managing workload
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and responses
- Assist attorneys in the preparation for trial, including organizing and reviewing evidence, preparing witness lists, and drafting motions and briefs
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process
- Manage case files and documents, including organizing and maintaining physical and electronic files
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, and hearings
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree and a paralegal certificate from an accredited institution
- At least 5 years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in a fathers' rights practice
- Strong research and writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
