Job Summary: Coaches / guides executive leadership and HR leaders in functional areas of human resources.
Scope: Supports region or division / business units / facilities composed of multiple business partners
As a Senior Partner Relations Advisor, you’ll design, implement, and administer Partner Relations policies and programs to support H-E-B business objectives and initiatives.
Strategic Business Partnerships
- Cultivates and maintains a highly productive business partnership with assigned client groups providing expertise and direction.
- Facilitate Positive Partner Relations Center of Excellence related activities for client group and consult for the client group on Partner Relations programs, processes, and policies.
- Exercises confidentiality and demonstrates a strong, neutral Partner Relations perspective in all interactions.
- Develops, executes, and sustains complex change management initiatives that align with the business priorities while maintaining the culture.
- Coordinates and leads cross-functional teams to address complex business challenges.
- Designs and recommends changes to current programs, processes, and policies.
- Coaches, advises, and guides business partners on Partner Relations strategies.
- Influences the development of business strategies by participating in/or leading cross-functional projects / programs.
- Understands the business through numbers (financial acumen)
- Executes change management initiatives that align with the business priorities while maintaining the culture.
Attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining Great People
- Facilitates and / or provides Partner Relations (e.g.,
programs, compliance, and policy) training and learning experiences.
- Collaborates with Partners and leadership to interpret, align, and communicate Partner Relations policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
- Coaches, mentors, develops other Partner Relations Advisors.
Strengthening the H-E-B Culture
- Promotes high professional standards, positive interpersonal relations, and a problem-solving approach in all situations.
- Handles confidential information in a variety of situations and levels.
- Ensures positive Partner morale by building effective relationships on site (e.g., credibility, reputation of confidentiality, and other methods)
- Manages and directs complex Partner relations activities.
- Conducts vulnerability audits and determines strategies based upon results.
- Facilitate focus groups as requested by HR.

- Exercises considerable judgment on behalf of the HR Director in his / her absence.

- Takes all reasonable steps to maintain limited records of confidential discussions until dispute is resolved; oversees confidential document destruction.
- Reviews Partner Relations lessons learned from conflict resolution process with affected management.
- Leads Partner Relations related activities for assigned client group.
- Serves as a consultant to the client group and to the HR team on Partner Relations programs, processes, and policies.
- Designs / recommends changes to current Partner Relations programs, processes, and policies.
- Develops / delivers communication materials related to Partner Relations programs and processes.
- May manage the work of Partner Relations Advisors
- Recommends strategies to address issues.
- Coordinates cross-functional perspectives to address
- complex business challenges.
- Creates innovative solutions with long-term impact on business and people practices.
What is your background?
- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
- 7+ years of related experience in Partner Relations
- 5+ years of experience in HR
- Experience in leadership of cross functional teams and project teams.
- Experience in H-E-B Operations
- Experience with PeopleSoft
- SPHR certification required
