Job Overview – Senior Phlebotomist (Float):
Advance your career as a Senior Phlebotomist (Float) with our healthcare client in Wethersfield, CT. In this role, you’ll lead blood collection and specimen preparation across multiple locations, prioritizing patient care, precision, and safety at every step.

Compensation: $20 - $22/hour
Location: Wethersfield, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM and 5:30 PM, with alternating Saturdays (35 Hours/Week)

Responsibilities as the Senior Phlebotomist (Float):

• Blood Collection: Perform accurate blood draws and manage specimen preparation for lab analysis, ensuring all procedures adhere to established protocols.
• Patient Care: Provide compassionate and professional care, building trust and ensuring comfort during every procedure.
• Multi-Site Support: Deliver phlebotomy services across multiple locations, maintaining consistency in quality and procedural compliance.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior phlebotomists, assisting in their training and supporting their day-to-day activities.

Qualifications for the Senior Phlebotomist (Float):

• Education & Training: High school diploma required (medical assistant or paramedic training preferred).
• Experience: 5 years in Phlebotomy, with expertise in pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (3 years in a Patient Service Center or IOP setting preferred).
• Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical skills (keyboarding and data entry proficiency).
• Location: Must reside within a 20-25 minute commute for flexible coverage.
