Senior PHP Software Engineer - ddcjobs

We are looking for a few great web app engineers to work on-site at our office in Hermosa Beach, CA. Great benefits and flexible schedule allows for telecommuting up to two days a week.

We've got a few exciting new project plans, serious traffic on our existing ad serving platform, optimization algorithms to build and scalability requirements for all our applications, so you'll have to show us that you can jump in and help build this.

You must have:

• 6+ years of experience building web applications in a team environment

• 2+ years of experience with OOP & MVC frameworks like Kohana/CI, CakePHP, etc.

• A-level abilities in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, CSS, XML, web services and REST API development

• Strong Object-oriented programming skills and intuition

• Working knowledge of Linux, Apache & MySQL administration

• Experience with scaling a high-traffic site and solving problems with scale

• Experience implementing high-performance production-grade non-trivial algorithms

• Strong communication skills

• Computer science undergraduate degree or equivalent

• Experience with AWS

• Expertise with WordPress

• Expertise with web analytics & log file analysis

• Expertise with reporting & charting

• Experience with online advertising space

• Experience with native mobile app development: Android or iOS

• Experience with JS frameworks like Prototype, jQuery, YUI, ExtJS/Sencha

• Experience with NoSQL or distributed application frameworks like Hadoop and Couchbase

• Experience with setting up and integrate with DFP
