Senior Physical Therapist Clinical Specialist - Boston Sports Medicine

The main distinction is leadership and clinical specialization.  OCS is highly valued in this position, but not required.  BSM has a path to completion. of OCS.  The Senior staff PT is a team leader responsible for the productivity, career development, and growth of their assigned support staff.  Senior Staff PTs. 

• Two or more years of experience as a Staff Physical Therapist is desired
• Demonstrate adequate experience mentoring new clinical staff
• Demonstrate adequate experience in supporting Staff Physical Therapist Assistant and Exercise Specialist training
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing patient scheduling
• Experience as a clinical instructor for at least two clinical affiliating students
• Extensive advanced clinical education completed for career development
• Develop advanced knowledge, focus, community relations, or specialization

Responsibilities

• All of the patient care responsibilities of a staff PT
• Act as a mentor to newly hired clinical staff
• Participate in all staff meetings including taking an active role in planning and presenting
• Play a role in determining and addressing the community needs for services
• Develop and complete training of support staff
• Meet with the practice manager on a monthly basis
• Establish and maintain a list of community partners who refer to BSM
• Suggesting new clinic equipment needs with an evidence-based usage case
