Senior Platform Engineer (Enterprise Platforms Technology)

We are seeking Platform Engineers who are passionate about creating and supporting DevOps tools with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Platform Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.
Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) comprises many of Capital One’s most important enterprise platforms. We play an essential role in establishing practices for building technology solutions across the company, while also delivering capabilities that exemplify those practices.
General Responsibilities:
Design and implement LAN/WAN topologies and connectivity.
Consult with various technology support groups as part of network design and development efforts.
Identify gaps in current design and research/propose appropriate solutions based on technical and business drivers.
Lead/contribute to network solutions development, optimizations, standards, and technology refresh efforts.
Provide input to network design standards and maintain network topology diagrams and technical design documents.
Participate in technology integration efforts with other engineering and support teams.
Provide direct support of audit and ad hoc consulting engagements.
Ensure compliance with departmental and enterprise security configuration standards.
Engage with all internal and external parties as necessary to drive and complete work.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 4 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
At least 2 years of experience with AWS
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with Networking technologies (SDWAN, Cisco ACI, Equinix Cloud Exchange)
3+ years of experience in network architecture, design and implementation
2+ years of experience with coding and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Nornir)
2+ years of experience working with Agile Development Practices
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
