The Job
As the Chief Technologist of the microelectronics group, you will lead efforts to drive the future of microelectronics as an advanced technology organization which includes overseeing development of technology roadmaps, research and development projects / investments, driving the technology strategy for the organization, and serve as thought leader for the group.
Functions:
- Serve as the internal microelectronics Subject Matter Expert (SME) / thought leader for our client and represent them as the microelectronics SME
- Advising GM and BA lead on technology trends, strategy, investments, and talent
- Collaborate with CE and Advanced Concepts Engineering (ACE) organization to deliver R&D projects and programs in cross-functional teams
- Directs the workforce development strategy for microelectronics in partnership with Chief Engineer
- Coordinate entire company on all microelectronics technology issues and opportunities
- Attends tradeshows, conferences, presents client’s microelectronics capabilities and innovations
- Shaping the microelectronics brand recognition within the community as a recognized leader
- Build relationships and interface with customers, identify and shape new business opportunities in partnership with business development
- Actively builds new customer relationships and industry / academic partnerships
- Senior technical expert that will represent client with customers, industry partners, and academia
- Create compelling executive and board-level material to inform and recommend in order to facilitate decision-making. Translate complex customer / technical / business concepts into visually compelling and crisp messages
- Reports to sector president with dotted line reporting into GM
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, marketing, economics, engineering, computer science, or related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 15 years of prior related experience or Graduate degree and a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

- Ability to generate innovative insights from analysis, communicates results effectively, and work with business partners in developing and implementing new methodologies and analysis to drive actionable results
- Ability to think abstractly and analytically provide in-depth analysis and recommendations to internal customers, teammates, and external constituencies
- Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end and manage multiple priorities / projects simultaneously
- Strong executive presence as well as the ability to effectively influence and make recommendations at all levels of the organization
- High level of business / financial acumen; global business acumen in defense
- High level of integrity, open and productive collaboration, and teamwork across multiple functions throughout the enterprise
