About the Job
Our client is a leading cosmetic and personal care manufacturer
They are seeking a Senior Process Engineer who will focus on developing and improving manufacturing processes for personal care products, especially sunscreens and skincare, ensuring safe, high-quality production.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$90,000 – $120,000 Depending on experience
Position Overview:
The Senior Process Engineer will work with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to launch new products and solve process issues
The Senior Process Engineer will also oversee and coordinate multiple engineering projects at once, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities of the Senior Process Engineer:
Develop scalable manufacturing processes for personal care and OTC products, ensuring cGMP and FDA compliance
Prepare essential process documentation and define production techniques for skincare and sunscreen formulations
Work closely with R&D teams to ensure smooth scale-up from lab to full production
Run trials, validation, and pilot batches to establish reliable processes for new formulations
Lead the technical transfer to production and offer troubleshooting support
Identify ways to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality while reducing costs
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving methods to find root causes and implement solutions
Qualifications for the Senior Process Engineer:
A minimum of 7 years of process engineering experience, including at least 3 years in personal care, skincare, or OTC manufacturing, is required
Expertise in formulating and manufacturing sunscreens and skincare products is highly desirable
Proven experience in scaling up processes, selecting equipment, and troubleshooting production issues
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required
Master’s degree is required
