Position Summary

You will protect and promote the interests of the Company, reporting to the Project Executive for Business and Administrative Practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Contract Administration: Prepare, review, and manage contracts related to construction projects.
• Supervision: Oversee Contract Administrators and procurement staff.
• Interest Protection: Safeguard Johns Hopkins' interests in all contract-related matters.
• Communication: Draft and explain complex procurement documents and processes; communicate with various stakeholders including contractors and vendors.
• Knowledge Application: Utilize knowledge of procurement theories, contract terms, bidding processes, and industry practices.

Background Profile

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in business or a construction related area.
• Experience beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted for the degree on a 2 years of experience in Contract Administration, Construction Administration, Project Management or a related field for 1 year of education basis. i.e. 8 years
• Experience: Requires Five (5) years of related and progressive experience as a Contract Administrator or comparable position.
• Skills:
• Proficient in procurement processes, contract terms, and construction industry practices.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office and project management applications.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and understand construction risks.
