Senior Product Designer
Location: Charlotte, NC/Remote
Duration: 6-7 months
Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Designs high-quality and engaged experiences for customers and associates
Executes multiple design projects within a single product or product group
Utilizes best practices and advanced knowledge to build user flows, wireframes, and design comps and low-fidelity prototypes to ensure products deliver optimal experience
Solves complex design problems at the product group level
Utilizes a variety of architecture, UI design and graphic design skills to best meet the varying needs of the business
Delivers quality, timely deliverables such as presentations, user interface elements, wireframes, and production work Ensures effective management of visual and interactive creative assets, including all content within the Client Digital design system
Partners with UX, Development and Product teams to maintain a cohesive design and experience throughout the product portfolio
Holds strong knowledge of external processes and technologies, both standard and unique to Lowe's, including the work processes, technologies, platforms and services for the business and technology capabilities

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
5 years of experience in UX Design
Expert proficiency with sketch and/or other design tools
Expert understanding of design system theory and execution
Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to take an established design language and work with UX Architects to extend the language
Portfolio of completed design projects
Associate will be assigned to our AI foundation platform work.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Include collaborating with cross-functional teams (AI engineers, product managers, data scientists) to translate complex AI capabilities into clear, usable interfaces. They create wireframes, prototype design concepts, and iterate based on feedback. They also ensure that AI-driven interactions are ethical, transparent, and enhance user experience, while balancing technical feasibility with design innovation. Staying updated on AI trends and considering how these can be applied to improve product design is also key.
Required Skills :
Agile Experience 2 Years minimum
User-Centered Design Expertise:
Strong proficiency in creating user experiences that prioritize clarity, usability, and accessibility, particularly in translating complex AI functionality into understandable and intuitive interfaces.
AI/Client Knowledge:
A solid understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts to effectively collaborate with AI engineers and shape how AI technologies are presented and interacted with in products.
Preferred Skills :
Case Management Experience 3+ years
User-Centered Design Expertise:
Strong proficiency in creating user experiences that prioritize clarity, usability, and accessibility, particularly in translating complex AI functionality into understandable and intuitive interfaces
Data Visualization:
Experience designing for complex data and creating clear visualizations that help users make sense of AI-driven insights.
Ethical Design Awareness:
A strong grasp of ethical concerns surrounding AI, such as bias, transparency, and user privacy, with the ability to design responsibly in line with these considerations.
Prototyping and Wireframing:
Advanced skills in tools like Figma, Sketch, or similar, to create detailed prototypes and wireframes that can be tested and iterated upon in the design process
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly with data scientists, AI engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to product development
