Cruise is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Technical (PMT) for AI Foundations to help us design and build the systems, tools, and processes to most effectively train and deploy AI models at Cruise
In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, operations, and data science.What You’ll Be Doing:PMT’s guide our teams to build the right products at the right time, enabling Cruise to launch self-driving vehicles at scale
At Cruise, PMTs are responsible for defining the “what” and “why”, to ensure we capture requirements and build the right products for our internal and external customers
In this role, you will be expected to:Develop the Product Vision, Strategy, and Roadmaps - PMTs obsess over their customers

They understand technical decisions and impacts that the team has made.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesCollect/lead ideas and discover new opportunities (idea management)Own “what” problems need to be solved and define “why” the solution is neededCreate roadmaps of initiatives and features to solve for company goalsLaunch new initiatives, test their performance, and iterate quickly.Create Product requirement documents (PRDs) that outline the success criteria for an initiative, function or productDevelop Pareto documents with detailed analysis to identity the relative importance of various items and determine the greatest opportunity for impactBe the directly responsible individual for success metrics and work with the teams to correct if trending in the wrong directionHelp prioritize features and initiatives to hit company goalsYou Have:3+ years of technical product management experience at a fast-paced technology company, particularly in AI or related fields.Extensive experience with AI model development and AI training data quality.Experience formulating a product vision and success metrics and then achieving product goalsExperience collaborating with cross-functional partners and leading critical initiatives that span across multiple teams with conflicting priorities and schedulesOutstanding communication skills: verbal and written, with engineers, non-technical partners, and executivesDeep appreciation for developers and customers alikeBonus Points!Experience with autonomous vehicle technology.Familiarity with machine learning frameworks.Familiarity with GPU usage optimization.Familiarity with continuous learning machines, data labeling, imitation learning and/or reinforcement learning models, and synthetic model training data creation.Demonstrated Cruise behavior of humility, adaptability and resilience.Dedication to continuous improvement and learning.The salary range for this position is $142,800 - $210,000
Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
