This position will have primary responsibility for leading the preliminary analysis of product safety related incidents and will also have responsibility for developing and implementing testing for safety-related field issues including safety standard development. This hybrid full-time position will require approximately 40% of the time on site at GE Appliance Park field return lab.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Responsibilities include:
+ Gather, analyze, and populate product database with relevant data pertaining to an alleged incident.
+ Use internal tagging and coding criteria to disposition safety cases.
+ Become proficient in using various internal supporting databases to gather relevant information to aid in populating and dispositioning cases.
+ Work closely with product safety teams to ensure timely coding of incident data.
+ Stay in regular communication with safety program managers on case data.
+ Work closely with offshore team to train and coordinate to ensure pre-populated fields are accurate and complete.
+ Regularly report out to product safety teams summaries of data from database.
+ Lead or participate in activities to understand safety related failure modes and root causes, recreating failure modes through testing if necessary.
+ Lead and assist developing and completing robustness testing for safety related failure modes.
+ Assist platform teams in safety standard test development and ensuring compliance with upcoming standards.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ BS in engineering
+ Minimum 5 years consumer product design, systems, and safety experience
+ Objective and data driven in rendering analysis
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Proficient in Microsoft office applications
+ Self-driven with excellent time management skills
+ Ability to work in a team environment
+ Experience with and understanding of Appliance design and function.
+ Able to handle and communicate consumer PII with sensitivity.
