About the Job
- Generate and maintain production schedules using the Oracle ERP/APS system
- Monitor work in process and inventory levels to ensure that required materials are supplied to the production floor according to the production schedule
- Support development and enhancement of production planning and forecasting tools
- Participate in annual budget planning and 5-year plan for production
- Track the flow of materials related to production and process development, identify and correct bottlenecks
- Interface with Product Managers, Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing to ensure rapid response to customer requirements
- Close involvement with the Shipping and Receiving function to ensure that customer delivery requirements are met
- Coordinate and manage weekly production schedule operating mechanisms
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports
Education and Experience:
- 2-year associate degree required, 4-year degree highly preferred or equivalent relevant experience considered
- Minimum 5 of years of experience in a production control and scheduling function
- Experience in leading production and planning functions
- Experience working under an ISO-9001 Quality Management System. Experience writing and editing work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Experience working in a 6-Sigma quality framework and methodology. Familiar and comfortable with problem solving tools.
- Strategic and functional understanding of Product Life-cycle Management systems, Agile preferred.
- Experience with problem analysis and resolution at the functional level
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment. Experience leading continuous improvement/kaizen activities. Experience identifying the 7-types of waste and executing projects to minimize waste. Experience setting up supermarkets, Kanban's and pull-production systems.
- Develop plans and set goals, to evaluate work accomplishments.
- Experienced with Total Quality\\Business Excellence and business process management
