This is accomplished by using highly performant and scalable compute environments. Some responsibilities include responding to alerts and escalations, managing incidents and issues, technical documentation, and independently supporting/configuring complex systems
These responsibilities will expose the associate to a greater support role and a larger impact on the direction and success of our systems.Troubleshoot, research, and resolve major defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in systems functions, outputs, and contentQuick response to system monitors, alerts, escalations and all outagesProvide 24/7 on-call support on rotating schedule including specific designated systemsStudy software documentation to understand our applications business and technical alignment for providing maximum supportAnalyze statistics and Incidents to develop and execute availability improvement plansWork with peers and vendors to design technical solutions to complex application issuesFocus on service restoration and reducing Mean Time To Restoration (MTTR)Provide support guidance and direction for other production support resourcesMaintain space requirements on serversAcquire and master the general skill set required for supporting and restoring services for all management designated applications and systemContinued comprehension of proprietary systems and subsequent system and procedural updatesProvide the role of SME for the systems designated by ManagementCommunicate to the Management about service disruption and take initial measures for damage controlPerform routine maintenance on application servers and track system performanceRecognize opportunities for improved process or procedures & act on themProvide outage and service restoration details to Operations Command Center for degradation statistics and root cause analysisProvide excellent service to all Production Support clients and business partnersPrepared to lead and coordinate teams during system/application outages and execute tasks accordingly to minimize impactAttend project meetings and provide input to project planningAdapt communication skill set to positively impact application teams
What you have
Required4-year college degree; Computer Science or related field5+ years of related experience within Java and product support
This includes:Ability to perform in-depth code reviewsProvide mentoring for junior developersExperience with Spring Boot 2 or 35+ years working with Linux OS (RHEL 6, 7 & 8 preferred) and using appropriate commands to perform tasks.3+ years of monitoring & optimizing the Linux OS / system hardware for best application performance.5 + years of scripting languages (shell, Perl, python, ruby)At least 2+years of Salt, Ansible, Puppet including identify areas of enhancement and deploy automated processes to minimize human intervention.Available on weekends or after hours as requiredPreferredJava 17 and up preferable Rudimentary knowledge of Agile SDLC a plusWorking knowledge of Git VCS a plusExperience with in-memory data grids a plusIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.Job SummaryRequisition ID: 2024-103628Posted Date: 3 weeks ago(9/16/2024 8:33 PM)Category: Engineering & Software DevelopmentSalary Range: USD $140000.00 - $165000.00 / YearApplication deadline: 10/11/2024Position Type: Full time
