Overview: We are seeking a highly innovative and motivated Program Integrator to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama, to lead a transformation of the Army Materiel Release (MR) process to support Army modernization priority programs. This position focuses on delivering new integrated hardware and software capabilities in a condensed timeframe while ensuring safety, suitability, and supportability considerations are met. The Program Integrator will play a critical role in redefining Army standards to support capability delivery in line with an Agile hardware and software development cadence by coordinating across organizational boundaries, identifying and managing risks, and streamlining requirements.
Job Requirements:
Strong candidates will have a solid understanding of Army MR, including AR 770-3, but ability to think outside the box and not be bound by the traditional process model. They will be responsible for re-engineering MR as part of a pilot initiative to support the Agile CI/CD process for a software-intensive major weapon system that includes major hardware end items with expected COTS obsolescence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Coordination:
- Lead and coordinate program activities, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives and goals. Provide comprehensive program coordination in support of the Performance Management Director’s priorities and the overall Project Manager and Program Executive Office (PEO) mission.
- Serve as PMO IPT lead for the PMO’s Agile MR initiative, routinely interfacing with AMC, AMCOM, CCDC, and ASA(ALT) representatives.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including engineering, safety, logistics, business, and product offices, to ensure cross-functional impacts and requirements are considered in planning and execution.
- Assist in navigating and proposing updates to Army and DoD regulations to deliver weapon system capabilities.
- Support the PMO in understanding, tailoring, and meeting the intent of Army/DoD processes, policies, and regulations to field safe, suitable, and supportable weapon system capabilities.
- Assist in the integration of diverse missile defense and integrated fires systems into a cohesive and effective system-of-systems architecture.
2. Critical Analysis and Problem Solving:
- Anticipate the Director’s needs and demonstrate strong critical analysis skills to generate, propose, and implement solutions to complex, high-impact challenges.
- Develop strategies to address potential challenges and ensure program success.
- Define and manage program requirements, ensuring they align with mission objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Coordinate with technical teams to refine, allocate and update requirements based on Warfighter priorities, evolving threats and technological advancements.
3. Risk Management:
- Identify and assess program risks related to integration, cost, schedule, and performance.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
4. Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, including government representatives, contractors, and internal team members. Key stakeholders include Army Futures Command (AFC) Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs), Army Capabilities Manager (ACM), ASA(ALT), DASA(DES), DASA(S), Army Staff, ATEC, DOT&E, other Project/Product Offices within and external to PEO Missiles & Space, Army Materiel Command, and DEVCOM CCDC AvMC.
- Provide regular updates on program progress, milestones, and challenges.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of safe, suitable, supportable and effective capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one. Top Secret/SCI may be required.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (engineering, project management, logistics, business, etc.); advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in DoD acquisition/ program management office operations, specifically in the defense industry with a focus on missile defense systems.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, policies, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- DAWIA certification (Program Management, Logistics, or Engineering) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with DoD/Army, defense industry and related stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Army modernization priorities in air and missile defense.
