Senior Program Manager - Allegheny Science & Technology

• Serve as a subject matter expert in project management, overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects in accordance with client requirements and industry best practices.
• Provide specialized consulting services to DOE programs, including communication and coordination with senior management and staff.
• Develop white papers, perform technical reviews, and facilitate workshops and training initiatives.
• Interface with financial personnel to ensure effective budget management and process improvement.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Idaho Falls office, ensuring quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance project management practices and efficiency.
• Provide oversight of personnel involved in system development and maintenance, ensuring the integrity of project management systems.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
• Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in program and project management, with a focus on the nuclear power industry and RDD&D.
• Must be located within commutable distance to Idaho Falls, Idaho.
• Must be willing to travel as needed (10% or less is expected).
• Expert knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
• Proven track record of success in program and project management, Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certification including associated training and process certification validation; Integrated Baseline development/management, cost estimating, contract management, and organizational development.
• Extensive experience supporting DOE programs, particularly those under the purview of the DOE-Idaho Operations Office and the DOE Office of Nuclear Energy (NE).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with clients and senior management. Strong networking skills. Presents a high-level of professionalism with a variety of individuals.
• Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading skills, and speaking.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments from a variety of team members.
• Experience in process improvement and personnel management.

• Active PMP is highly desired. If candidates do not currently possess a PMP, they must be actively pursuing or willing to obtain.

• Active DOE L or DOE Q clearance is highly desired.
