About the Job
L.J Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Senior Project Manager. You'll lead multiple, concurrent development programs through proposal, funding, development, qualification and volume production for our client in the Aerospace industry based in Parsippany, NJ.
- Initiating activity within client site to satisfy customer contract scope/statement of work
- Proactively drive achievement of major milestones and high customer satisfaction
- Using industry experience to recognize and preemptively address technical, cost, and schedule risks
- Act as primary point of contact for assigned customers
- Creation and release of project Work Breakdown Structure with approved budgets
- Creation and maintenance of project Integrated Master Schedule
- Facilitating IPD Process compliance by completing required Initiating Activities, Design Reviews, and Gate Review requirements.
- Facilitate internal and customer weekly team meetings/telecons with documentation of minutes and maintenance of Action Item Lists
- Create Monthly Program Review materials for assigned projects and presenting to Executive Leadership
- Provide Program Management support of new business proposals; create PM deliverables to the management volume
- Manage Bids for new, or follow-on, business proposals
- Achievement of NRE Cost, Design to Cost, and Schedule performance against budget for assigned projects
- Review and creation of material and/or labor plans and cost reports
- Resolution and coordination of project cost, schedule, and technical performance issues
- Monitor and control of project scope
- Escalation of issues or risks that cannot be resolved at the project team level
- Maintain high customer satisfaction for assigned projects
- Identifying opportunities to grow business content with associated projects and customers
- Supporting significant proposals with related PMO inputs
- Initiating and scrubbing proposal Bases of Estimates and Schedules
- Abide by all safety, quality, and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to various regulatory and internal system requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- 4- 7 years of program management experience
- PMP certification preferred
- Experience working within aerospace or a similar technical field preferred
- Experience with Additive Manufacturing technologies is a plus
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project expertise
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Intimate knowledge of people management skills, particularly influence management and conflict resolution
- General knowledge of operations, including scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, test engineering, and quality systems
- Exemplary verbal/written communication skills required for multifaceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents, including but not limited to; vendors, suppliers, customers, etc.
