About the Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented Senior Project Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in managing the financial aspects of our development projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

• Process and verify project invoices
• Prepare monthly draw requests for lenders and investors
• Manage accounts payable and receivable for assigned projects
• Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash balances

Reporting and Analysis

• Generate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Prepare project-specific reports and draw reconciliations
• Assist with year-end tax reporting and annual audits
• Manage 1099 processing

Project Support

• Collaborate with Project Managers on financial matters
• Provide financial data for loan closings
• Project and communicate cash flow needs to management
• Offer guidance to the project management and accounting teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
• 5+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably in real estate development or construction
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite
• Strong understanding of GAAP and project finance principles
