As a Senior Project Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, including but not limited to:
1. Overseeing all project-related financial transactions, including invoicing, job costing, and budgeting.
2. Developing and maintaining an effective system for tracking project costs and profitability.
3. Collaborating closely with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and to identify any potential financial risks or issues.
4. Utilizing software such as Viewpoint, Sage, and Sage 300 Timberline to manage and analyze financial data.
5. Preparing detailed financial reports for senior management, highlighting key trends and providing insightful analysis.
6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
7. Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff, helping to develop their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Senior Project Accountant role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the construction or general contracting industry.
2. Demonstrated expertise in project accounting and job costing.
3. Proficiency in using accounting software such as Viewpoint, Sage, and Sage 300 Timberline.
