Senior Project Consultant - Mechanical (Remote) - Pearl Engineering Corporation

Pearl Engineering has an immediate opening for a Senior Mechanical/Process Engineer. Must have a BS or MS from an accredited engineering school and 10-15 years’ professional experience. While holding a current NCEES Model Law Professional Engineers (P.E.) license in at least one state. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment solving complex problems and enjoy the variety and independence that comes with a consulting career. Experience working in the pulp & paper, food processing, building products, or chemical processing industries is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative solutions to complex industrial manufacturing process and equipment problems.
• Provide engineering support in industrial operations and maintenance areas to troubleshoot, identify and resolve technical problems.
• Perform engineering calculations to support design work
• Knowledge of engineering systems, codes, and other disciplines
• Specification of process equipment and components and design of process systems.
• Prepare Construction Bid Document Packages
• Prepare project scope of work and estimating documents.
• Collaborate with project team members, vendors, and contractors.
• Work with support personnel
• Assist with estimating and proposal efforts for new project opportunities
• Mentoring/training of junior team members

The sucessful candidate will have a bachelors degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.  Extensive experience in pulp, paper, and wood products is necessary.  A professional engineering license is required.
