Project Engineer- Architecture Firm

General Summary
Our client, a leading engineering and design firm, is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join their team. The Project Engineer will report to a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day project activities, ensuring quality control and project deliverables, conducting shop drawing reviews, and managing all phases of project design related to site design.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage all phases of the project from design to contract documentation, shop drawing checks, site visits, and project closeout.
• Possess practical management skills to plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of projects.
• Supervision received is primarily administrative, with assignments provided in general terms and objectives.
• Make civil engineering design decisions independently, elevating more complex decisions to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
• Direct and coordinate the workload with other project team members.
• Coordinate with both internal and external team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Excellent technical knowledge in civil engineering.
• Ability to coordinate, write, and/or edit specifications related to civil engineering.
• Strong leadership skills to meet deadlines and provide high-quality service to clients.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally and with integrity.
• Strong planning, organizing, time management, and multi-tasking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD, Photoshop, MS Word, and MS Excel.
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning codes, and approval processes related to civil engineering.
• Comprehensive understanding of building systems and site requirements in structural, MEP, civil, and geo-technical engineering.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Licensure in engineering is required.
