About the Job
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer (MEP Specialist) for our Architectural, Engineering Construction Services (AEC Services) Assessment Services Group, located in Denver,CO.
The qualified candidate will be performing transaction-based Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing and Fire & Life Safety (MEP/FLS) evaluations, and related architectural/engineering/real estate due diligence services on a wide range of property types including office, industrial, retail, hospitality, and multi-family housing.
This position requires management of multiple concurrent projects with minimal oversight; a willingness to travel at least 50% of the time; exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines without exception. Our clients expect in-depth technical expertise with pro-active communication and follow-up.

Responsibilities:- Conduct PCAs in accordance with ASTM standards and client-specific scopes of work
- Conduct PCAs as a single assessor/generalist or be a part of a larger team with specific requirements such as evaluating the MEP/FLS systems
- Prepare curative budgets to remedy physical deficiencies.
- Perform Senior technical-review of PCA reports and provide senior review of other-related technical documents, when necessary
- Perform monthly construction monitoring
- Assist in performing Construction-Project Documents Reviews
- Perform Plan & Cost Reviews
- Represent Rimkus AEC Services to the client in a professional manner
- Other consulting project duties as assigned by senior staff
- Work from a remote-home setting with organizational support

Qualifications:- Minimum 4-year engineering related degree
- Professional certification/registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred, but not required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience performing transaction-based property condition assessments
- Experience in engineering design, construction oversight, building forensics, and project management is also preferred
- Ability to organize and manage multiple project assignments according to deadlines and within budget
- Independently problem solve and work autonomously with a sense of urgency
- Conduct yourself with business integrity
- Exceptional writing, grammatical and verbal communication skills
- Advanced computer literacy on Windows‐based programs, specifically MS Word and Excel
