Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Engineer - PE to join our growing Design Management Services team in Cary, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience in site design, roadway, stormwater management, grading, drainage, and utility design. This position has the unique ability to partner with and learn from some of the best engineers, project managers, and other technical staff in the industry. Our Civil engineers are part of a site development team where they will design improvements including site layout, utilities, grading - drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management for a wide range of private and public clients throughout NC and the US.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering design and support on a wide variety of commercial, industrial, and institutional development projects for diverse client base.
- Ability to execute engineering best practices on a wide variety of projects for a wide variety of clients, adapting to new environments quickly.
- Be involved in all project aspects including design/study development, construction management, project management, RFI's/RFPs/Submittals and client meetings.
- Preparation of sketches, drawings, and specifications for a project from verbal or written instruction.
- Engineering analyses and calculations.
- Preparing and organizing designs and details to produce a complete set of drawings.
- Researching and writing reports/opinions.
- Utilization of various engineering related computer software.
- Compiling project specifications.
- Completing construction cost estimates.
- Gaining project approvals through local, state, and federal agencies, including meetings with agencies and responding to comments.
- Be involved in all project aspects including design/study development, design team meetings construction administration.
- Conduct site visits, surveys and inspections, and assist with data collection, compilation and assessment for civil/site infrastructure projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
- PE is required.
- 5-15 years of proven civil engineer experience.
- Experienced in land development, grading, drainage, erosion control, stormwater management, and utility design.
- Extensive experience using computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents (examples include software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be flexible, well organized, accountable, and dependable.
- Physically able to perform work in the field.
- EIT.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range:USD $94,591.00 - USD $105,102.00 /Yr.
