Under limited supervision, leads, oversees, and performs a variety of advanced-level professional duties and responsibilities involved in the research, planning, design, and construction of various engineering and facility projects; to serve as project manager on complex projects; to respond to questions and inquiries from the general public, developers, contractors, engineering and architectural professionals, and City staff regarding engineering and development projects; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.  Oversight covers a diverse range of complex projects, with budgets ranging from $100,000 to $100 million. This position provides direction to other employees.
