Position: Project Manager – Finance Systems Implementation
Location: New Jersey (Hybrid, 3 days a week)
Rate: 80/hr on w-2 (No C2C or third party candidates will be accepted on this role)
Travel: Approximately 10%
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to assist in deploying a new finance system focused on credit and collections functionality. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, including Functional Leads, Business Partners, Project Owners, Business Analysts, and Vendors, to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Manage project milestones to ensure adherence to scope, quality, and budget.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Product Managers, Vendors, and End-users to gather and refine project requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including scope, deliverables, work breakdown structure, and progress reports. Report project status and escalate risks as needed.
- Risk Management: Perform risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Methodology Adaptation: Operate within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies to adapt to project needs and drive successful outcomes.
Core Competencies, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Project Management: Proven experience in IT project management, especially within the finance sector. Skilled in project planning tools (MS Project, SharePoint) and methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall).
- Finance Expertise: Strong understanding of finance processes and tools, with hands-on experience in finance systems implementation.
- Stakeholder Management: Effective at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Leadership: Ability to inspire and lead teams, manage virtual and cross-cultural meetings, and drive creative problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Must-Haves:
- 10+ years of project management experience following PMBOK guidelines.
- 5+ years of experience with finance tools and technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Project, SharePoint).
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Project Management.
- 6+ years of experience in a global manufacturing company in an FDA-regulated environment.
- Certifications such as ACP, SCRUM, PMP, PgMP, Prince II, or similar.
- Experience with large-scale transformation projects and knowledge of High Radius Collections.
Salary
75 - 82 /hour
