Senior Project Manager - Health and Sciences
Location: Princeton, NJ
Compensation: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 salary range
360 has partnered with a leading client in the healthcare and sciences sector to seek a qualified Senior Project Manager. This position offers the opportunity to provide industry-leading design and consulting services with a focus on cutting-edge and creative design solutions grounded in proven technologies and evidence-based design.
Position Summary:
As the Senior Project Manager, you will serve as the technical lead for the design execution of projects. You will oversee all project design activities and act as the primary point of contact for the client. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring design quality, delivering the contracted scope, and meeting project objectives, requirements, schedules, and budgets.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for multiple areas of mechanical engineering.
- Supervise and manage assigned engineers, providing technical guidance, training, and support for junior engineers.
- Perform calculations, modeling, engineering, and code research as required.
- Conduct peer reviews, technical oversight, and quality control of the design team’s work products.
- Manage project plans and timelines to ensure projects are on time and within budget, making necessary adjustments to staffing and resources.
- Organize and facilitate internal and external client meetings, ensuring all action items are documented and completed.
- Coordinate project activities with all involved parties, including internal teams, external partners, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the VP of the group to respond to client-issued RFPs and develop bid proposals, contracts, cost estimates, and budgets.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships, with the goal of retaining existing clients and attracting new ones through referrals.
- Ensure accurate project accounting, including project setup, monthly invoicing, and accounts receivable in compliance with accounting protocols.
- Participate in trade conferences, business development activities, and the promotion of healthcare and sciences commercial and marketing activities.
Requirements:
- BS in Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer required.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in the healthcare, hospital, or laboratory sector.
- Experience with NFPA 99, FGI Guidelines for Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities.
- Working knowledge of load analysis and energy modeling programs such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR, and Carrier HAP.
- Experience in executing design projects with Autodesk, Revit, and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Familiarity with the USGBC LEED Rating system is a plus.
- Excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).
- Knowledge of local, state, and national code requirements.
- Working knowledge of electrical, controls, structural, civil, and architectural discipline requirements.
- Experience with construction requirements, scheduling, trades, and OSHA regulations.
- Extensive experience in managing and coordinating multidiscipline projects.
- Strong technical writing skills and the ability to prepare presentations and reports.
