About the Job
- Lead and oversee multiple IBM mainframe projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project deliverables and timelines
- Monitor project performance, identifying and addressing issues proactively to keep projects on track
- Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, providing direction and motivation to team members
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to ensure project success and satisfaction
- Implement best practices in project management, continuously improving processes and methodologies
- Conduct post-project reviews to assess outcomes, identify lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future projects
- Mentor junior project managers and team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable
- 7+ years of project management experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on IBM mainframe projects
- Strong knowledge of mainframe technologies, including z/OS, DB2, CICS, Data Warehouse and relevant development tools
- Proven experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex project environments
- Proficient in project management software and tools
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
