Our Construction Management team is seeking a Senior Project Manager for work on various NYCT MTA C&D transit projects. This position requires extensive knowledge of rail transit systems and experience executing transit projects. Responsible for construction management, including quality of deliverables, adherence to schedules, and overall client satisfaction of assigned projects.
- Assume managerial ownership of large-scale multidisciplinary construction projects.
- Oversee the performance of multiple support groups within a project such as design compliance, project delivery and project controls.
- Manage and monitor budgets and schedules.
- Serve as main point of contact for project owner on all project matters.
- With the support of the project delivery group, manage and oversee all construction operations.
- With the support of the project controls group, manage and oversee the project change order process, the tracking and reporting on KPI’s and the generation of comprehensive progress status reports.
- With the support of the design compliance group, manage and oversee the design development process and any required engineering as part of the construction phase support.
- Lead all coordination efforts between owner, project management team and the contractor (or design-builder)
- Assist the owner on community outreach efforts and third-party stakeholders coordination/interfacing.
- Fully responsible for the management of the construction management agreement with the project owner.
- Identifies potential project prospects and assists/leads in preparation of technical proposals to support marketing efforts.
- Responsible for assigned project delivery and quality of deliverables.
- Identify and recommend potential candidates to be hired for the CMCI Transit team.
- Prepares proposals and participates in client interviews.
- Maintain membership in professional societies.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field of study.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) required.
- 20+ years of Project Management experience including projects involving signal systems, train control and CBTC.
- Experience coordinating the design and construction of signal, communications, and power in a rail transit project.
- OSHA 30-Hour Safety Course certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months upon hire.
- Experience managing projects for MTA C&D Signal Business Unit (formerly NYCT Signal Department)
- Familiarity with Project Management Procedures (PMP’s) and Project Management Guidelines (PMG’s)
- Team player – Demonstrate solid presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $193,500 - $290,300 annually for this position and local market.
